PROFILE OVERVIEW

Havre de Grace is located in Harford County, Maryland where the
Susquehanna River meets the Chesapeake Bay.

Havre de Grace was once considered for the site of the nation’s capital. It is known for its museums, Victorain homes, and antique shopping.

During the Revolutionary War this small hamlet was visited several times by
General Lafayette. He mentioned that the area reminded him of the French seaport, Le Havre. This is how the town was given the name Havre de Grace which is French for “Harbor of Grace.”

WXCY was nominated for their first ever CMA Award for Medium Market Radio Station of the Year.

To say we are proud is an understatement, not only for ourselves but of our listeners, many of which who have supported WXCY since March 1st, 1989.Music makes radio good, but our listeners make a station great.

From Baltimore, Maryland to Wilmington, Delaware to the New Jersey beaches to nearly Hershey, Pennsylvania, WXCY listeners are the most loyal people you’ll ever find.
